THE COMMUNITY

Let's Talk About It.

The book gives us language for what so many women have been experiencing quietly.

But language is only useful if we use it.

To ask better questions. To tell the truth about what is changing. To talk to our partners, our daughters, our friends—and one another.

So this is where the conversation begins.

SOMETIMES IT STARTS WITH ONE SENTENCE.

"I miss me."

Maybe it’s a question.

"Why don't I feel like myself anymore?"

Or maybe it’s simply...

"I think something is changing."

You don't need the perfect words.

You just need somewhere safe enough to say the first ones.

The conversations we should have been having all along.

Need help starting?

Voices From The Other Puberty

Turns out, we weren't the only ones.

“I thought I was the only one who didn't recognize herself anymore.”

“No one told me menopause could affect how I felt about my marriage.”

“My mother never talked about this. Neither did her mother.”

WHAT'S HERE

A place for the conversations we've been missing.

Don't know how to begin? I made something for that.

I created the Companion Guide because sometimes we know we need to talk—we just don't know how to begin.

Use it after you finish the book. Use it while you're reading. Bring it to dinner with a friend. Take a question to your partner. Write something down before your next doctor's appointment.

There is no right way to use it.

Just don't let the conversation end when you close the book.

Sometimes the conversation needs a bigger room.

Book clubs. Women's groups. Faith communities. Organizations. Friends around a table. These conversations become even more powerful when we have them together. If you're ready to bring The Other Puberty conversation into your community, I'd love to join you.

Stay In Conversation

If something here sounded familiar, stay close.

I'll share new conversations, reflections, gatherings and ways for us to keep talking about the things women have carried quietly for far too long.

Because understanding what is happening is important.

But knowing someone else understands it too?

That changes everything.

No noise. Just thoughtful notes from The Other Puberty.
